Whiling away the hours...

This afternoon, we arrived in Prague. This followed a roughly 2 hour journey from Dresden, through some of what was possible the most stunning scenery I've seen yet. More about that later.
The hotel (Kafka's place of employment!) had previously emailed us an offer for a dinner cruise for EUR47 per person, and despite breaking our budget somewhat, we figured what the hell, we may as well do this.

A minibus picked us up at 6:00pm, took us on a tour of the town, arriving down at the docks just before 7pm. We boarded the boat and sat at a table with another couple, who had been married just two days before. Started talking, and then went and sat up on the roof of the boat, to better observe the passing town, before eating from both a hot and cold buffet dinner, that was pretty filling and satisfying.

Unfortunately due to traffic on the river, we spent ages sitting outside a lock, waiting to go further up river, so once we did get up there we still got to do the full circle, it was just very very quick, then very quick back down river again. Kind of disappointing, but not so much their fault.

Overall, it was a nice, slow, relaxing and quiet way to enjoy Prague on our first night here.
