Expatting can be hard.

Sure - it seems like a fabulous idea. You're half way around the world. You claim your expenses to decrease your tax. You're experiencing all sorts of wonderful new things, life has changed, all of that.

But Expatting can be hard.


You're half way around the world. You have to make new friends, you're not near your family. We're luckier than others, at least we have each other. But we don't make friends well. And sometimes, you need your family. You need them for yourselves, or you want to be there for them. It's extremely hard, especially if it's at last minute.

Things like the internet - skype, email, instant messaging, blogs, they can help. But they can't fill in the gaps. There's so many things you miss.


and the question is sometimes, is it worth it ?
