Corfu - Beach Break

Once we got back on board the boat at Split, we continued on our merry way to to Corfu, Greece. This was our next programmed port of call, and we had booked into a "Beach Break" shore excursion...

We jumped on a bus and headed off to a resort at Dassia, where, apparently, the water was still kind of cold - although not as cold as some of the other resorts. We've definitely been in much colder water.

A beach break is pretty much what it sounds - despite having a floating resort, we just lazed around on the beach, floated in the beautifully clear water a bit, ran on over to the pools (yes, 2) to swim in unsalty water, then hid out while it rained !

Afterwards, the sun came back out, so we went for a quick self-guided walking tour of the town, bought Rhiannon a white summery-greeky dress, and generally had a good stickybeak around. We didn't have the camera with us on shore, so all you get is this photo of the town as we leave....
