Mykonos

Our cruise ship left Santorini at around 11:30, and we cruised through the night (with a 1am dinner at the all-night cafe) to arrive at Mykonos early the next morning.
Mykonos Windmills

Mykonos is yet another of those idyllic Greek holiday locations, with beautiful warm clear water, and bright white houses. There's even some windmills. We had the pleasing change of actually being docked in the harbour today, and this made a distinction from the need to jump on board the tender and be ferried into land.

Our elected shore excursion was Delos - a small, windy island in the middle of the Cyclades. An ancient and now uninhabited island, we were taken on a walking tour around all the ruins. Considering the age of the ruins, they are all very well preserved, and it was stunning to visualise what it would have been like. The grandeur of some of the houses in particular was amazing.
We've got a whole raft of photos available on our Flickr stream which you could check out if you wanted.

Our sore and tired feet were very appreciative once we were taken back to Mykonos, and we took the opportunity to run back to the ship and grab swimming gear, before heading back to the beach in the middle of the cove, to simply soak up some sunshine and lovely warm, clear water.

One other traveller with us actually said "It's worth missing the boat, to just stay in this water"

Gladly, we didn't. However, we definitely want to go back.
