Pubs...

I can't beleive we've gone this long, without writing about pubs, and/or beer....

anyway so where we live in Willesden Green, we've counted at least 5 bars or pubs near us. We've had a few drinks in two of them, decided two others are more like sports bar, and thus not worthy of our patronage (:P) and another seems to only open at about 5pm, so we think it's more a bar, and haven't been in there yet.

First up is Angies. Don't beleive everything you read. It's not completely bad, the pool table is NOT great (although it is free, all the time) - it's just more like a tavern than anything else.. and in keeping with most London places, exceedingly hot. We were there around 530pm on a Friday, and the crowd was middling-older guys mostly, all clustered around the bar. The pool room, and the entire back of the pub, was basically empty. It wasn't a massively welcoming atmosphere, but it'd be ok to go back to probably. Cost us about £9 for a pint of... something, I forgot.. obviously not massively memorable, and a double jack and coke. Pool table cost 1 quid a round, and played kinda slow.

coming up later, the other place I don't know the name of.. but had a much better vibe.. :)
