So after the debacle with the Ferry from IOM to Dublin, we ended up needing to catch a flight. The price wasn't tooo bad really, and we intend to claim on our travel insurance. The flight itself though, was quite rough. Especially rough, when we were in a little ATR42 plane.
So we're now in Dublin anyway, which is good.
Initially, it felt very much like London, but without the bustle and excitement. We got to our hotel at about 1:00, and despite being early, they had a room and let us check in anyway, which we were grateful for.
However, after about 5 hours of walking around, finding ourselves in the old city, and Templebar, and seeing the old walls and things like that, we actually found it to be really quite interesting. A bit more expensive than London in terms of food and drink though.
The city itself is quite easy to get around, has lot of old narrow cobblestone roads and stuff. For the rest of the trip, we have planned a museum tour, the Jameson factory tour, and a hop-on hop-off bus tour.....
